In March of 2013, we headed to the Austrian ski resort of Warth for our 3 year old daughters first ski holiday.
We contacted Simply Piste to kit her out in suitable ski wear. We wanted to make sure that she was properly attired so didn’t get cold at any point and enjoyed her first ski holiday. Clothing and Goggles fully functional, she was happy in Kindergarden, in the falling snow and jumping in snow drifts.

Children’s Ski Suit – Columbia Girls Buga Set
If you are taking a 2 to 4 year old child skiing then I have to seriously recommend this two piece ski suit. My 3 year old daughter loved it from the start as the colour is bright and it fitted her perfectly. The best thing about it is the bib pant which has a fleece lined cover that feels warm and cosy. So this covers their whole body and is easily fitted using velcro on the shoulders. This meant that you don’t have to put too many layers on to stay warm, which just allows for some more flexibility with clothing. The fabric is waterproof and there is a layer of insulation for warmth and the hood came in very handy as we had some heavy snow. This suit provides the perfect start for a young child on their first or second ski trip whether they are skiing, sledging or just mucking about in the snow.

Children’s Ski Goggles – Giro CHICO
Kids don’t really like wearing goggles all the time but our 3 year old daughter had no problems with these smart looking ones from Giro. The anti-fog lens really didn’t fog up and the only time I had to wipe it was when she managed to spread her lunch over them. They fitted really well over her rented helmet and managed to get through the week without any damage. Size wise, they fitted well but expect they will last at least another season or two.

Verdict
I don’t think we could have got better ski wear for our daughter. She was warm and comfortable and it all worked as designed.
Cannot think of any cons to either of these pieces of childrens ski wear. Would throughly recommend to any parent looking for ski clothing or ski goggles for their 2-4 year old..
