Professional big mountain skier and co-founder of SheJumps, Lynsey Dyer is attempting to make an all-female ski film using the crowd funding website Kickstarter.
Lynsey is looking for $60,000 and needs your help. As she states on the Kickstarter page:
Despite women’s presence in:
~40% of the skiing population and
~30% of the adventure sports film viewership
…only 14% of athletes in major ski films were female this past season. Additionally, last season’s 14% was record female representation, up from 9% the previous season.We see this as an opportunity to provide an inspiring documentary ski film told from a female’s perspective to connect with and celebrate skiing’s female population.
